The Czech capital of Prague is cracking down on boozy night time tours of the city’s pubs.
Pub crawls organised by travel agencies will be banned from 10pm until 6am local time. The city claims to have more pubs per head of population than anywhere else in the world.
Authorities say they will no longer tolerate bad behaviour by foreign visitors who travel to Prague to party. The city has become a magnet for ‘stag’ and ‘hen’ parties involving all-male and all-female groups, many from the UK.
One travel agency in the city offers tourists a "strip and steak combo" as well as a "spicy lesbian show in the mud”, according to The Times newspaper.
The Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants supports the late night booze ban, saying rowdy group tours are frowned on by local people, as well as other tourists.
The city’s deputy mayor Jiri Pospisil told the BBC he wanted Prague to become a place where "refinement and respect for shared public space are a priority".
