A female zoo handler has been attacked by a tiger at Dreamworld theme park on Australia’s Gold Coast.

The handler suffered “multiple deep lacerations” during the attack which happened when she was working with the animal on Monday.

The woman, in her thirties, was reported to be ”stable” in hospital.

In a statement, the amusement park said, “Dreamworld acknowledges an incident that occurred involving one of the park’s tigers and a trained tiger handler. This was an isolated and rare incident, and we will conduct a thorough review accordingly.”
